The current Spirit Squad members and the Spirit Squad coaching staff
will be hosting a cheerleading and stunt clinic Sunday, March 9, 2008! The clinic is open to participants as young as age 6, and is recommended for
those trying out for the 2008-2009 team (which would include poetnetial incoming freshman, current U of MD students, and transfer students).
- All-girl and co-ed Stunt Instruction!
- Open to all ages!
- Open to all skill levels... basic to elite!
- Open to individuals, partner stunt groups and teams!
- Meet the University of Maryland Cheerleaders and Coaching Staff!
- Learn 2008-2009 tryout material! (optional)

Clinic check-in & walk-in registration. Cash, money orders and checks made payable to "UMCP FOUNDATION" will be accepted. A waiver form must be signed by a parent or guardian, and submitted at check-in in order to participate.

7:00 PM

Clinic participants will learn a dance (optional), proper
motion and jump technique, and proper stunt technique instruction and
combination stunts… advanced to elite all-girl stunt instruction available, and

Friday, May 2, 2008, 6:00-9:00 pm - College Prep Clinic - $30.00

The current Spirit Squad members and coaching staff
will be hosting a "College Prep" clinic the evening before the first mandatory day
of tryouts. The clinic is open to high school students grades 9th-12th,
current U of MD students, and transfer students. The clinic is strongly recommended for
those trying out for the 2008-2009 team!

Clinic
participants will have the opportunity to learn stunting techniques (both co-ed
and all-girl instruction will be available) as well as the tryout dance and
fight song. Coaches will conclude the clinic with a question and answer
session regarding tryout tips to include topics such as the proper tryout
attire, suggestions on what skills to perform for the stunting and tumbling
sections of the tryout, and an explanation of what the judges are looking
for.
