Congratulations to the following participants for earning the spring 2010 mascot openings!  Thank you to ALL of those participants that tried out... It was a VERY tough decision!!  All of the participants that tried out did a fantastic job.  Contact information for all participants will be kept on file for future mascot opportunities.

January 2010 Tryout Information

Step #1: Complete the entire Tryout Application- CLICK HERE (page 2-6).  Make sure that you include and attach a picture of yourself to page 1. The picture is for identification purposes only. 

Step #2: Fax the application to: 240-331-0235 or scan and e-mail the application to: JLLittle@umd.edu by Thursday, January 27, 2010 by Midnight.

Step #3: Check  www.marylandcheerleading.com for “call-back” results from the application process.  Results will be posted by noon, Friday, January 29, 2010.  Applicants must be called back in order to tryout on Sunday, January 31, 2010.

Step #4:  For those applicants that make the call back list, tryouts will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2010.

    Tryout Time: 6:00-8:30 PM

    Auxiliary Gym (located on the ground level of the Comcast Center)

    Parking:
    The closest parking lot to the Auxiliary Gym is lot 4b.  Parking is free without a permit on Sunday’s.  Enter the Comcast Center on the ground level and the auxiliary gym is the first door on the left side.
    Tryout Process:
    Tryout participants should wear comfortable work-out style clothing. Participants will be required to tryout out in the mascot suit and asked to react to game day scenarios to include dancing to music, reacting to critical plays, and interacting with fellow students and children.
